Nah, once again entering pos at Asian session with intent of holding unmonitored to US proves a terrible idea (for me). Wakened by stop sounds, -450
So, up 400 on monitored positions. Then down, 650 on unmonitored positions due to sleep attempts (out of all now). -250ish for day. Atm I will have to concede that messing up sleep in order to lose money is a pretty poor trade indeed.
Let's see: -600 today and yesterday in total on pure intraday trades. Stopping to post realtime updates as those interfere too much with monitoring. Found out what I need to prioritize fixing, top is automatic trend direction selection in algo because I am worse than a monkey at picking it. I.e. while I am fairly OK in seeing whether there's a trend, I always want to bet against it like it's going to end on the next pullback.
Not trading tomorrow and will fix my most urgent technical debt in weekend, so no Friday either unless something obvious comes up.
Give yourself some credit here, this has been an unusual week. The last 5 trading days have been whacked.
Well, I wish I could say that, but I sucked. At least, I should solve a couple of repeatable issues I have before proceeding.
Added automatic trend direction detection and improved risk calculations in intraday algo. While there was an in-sample improvement the expectation is the main utility will come from overriding my dumb cognitive biases. Now just waiting for some market opens/volatility.
Three algo activations today: -450 (started on false up spike after open, incurred stops in a few seconds...) +350 +0 (shut down manually after leading nowhere) Either way alright day since there wasn't a lot of suitable market movement during US session. Will try to trade HK tonight if I can time sleep beforehand.
NQ has been mostly indecisive today. Managed to catch a small part of up move after open, +130. Not expecting any drivers beyond BTFD, but the question is if that's enough anymore.
Woohoo +500 after going AFK for 2 min leaving auto trigger on. Edit: But lol, exited this one way early. Would have been +2000 if I had waited a bit more. Tariff news apparently.
