Moving gold stop to 1,303.010, still demanding it keep clear of 1300 level from now on. Copper stop was apparently hit (need to be keen on re-entry). Actually going to bed now. Poor equity trading today on my part. Stop was at turning point more or less, classic. But hey, it just looks like a turning point. It's great to have been close to reach 21000 today, less great to burn money on incompetent intraday trades. Now I'm properly tired, writing BS.
The above was issued in a hurry from a hospital (motivation to re-enter copper on previous premises) and got taken out by a spike down seemingly ending on my stop price. The string of failed trades since yesterday has been mostly balanced by strong performance on remaining positions, but the sooner I can get systematic stop loss calculations in the better. Pretty much all failed trades since yesterday with exception of EUR/GBP (which was highly incorrect) would have been heavily in profit if not taken out. Meanwhile I'm down in excess of 400 EUR due to them. Trying to achieve great R/R in exchange for low probability of success is problematic when underlying market runs away in the desired direction a few hours later. NAV 20526, AUD/CAD short and gold long going back a bit from earlier gains. Not having any screen time tomorrow, possibly Friday depending on things. Hope I get some time for programming in weekend to begin on stop loss code.
Gold stopped in early morning IIRC, half of MFE eradicated on stop. NAV about 20400 (AUD/CAD short going well) Buy XAUUSD x 55 @ 1295.05 stop 1286.5 Re-entry.
Buy China A50 x 4 @ 12673 stop 12564 Expecting resumption into previous trend everything else equal now that trade delay has been factored in. Also wanted to see indications that index had succeeded to break out of flat area since Monday. Slightly interesting US data later today so waiting with entering US indices until that.
Buy NAS100USD x 5 @ 7264 stop 7255 Very small bet on recovery after (IMO not surprising) news about declining manufacturing.
Moving gold stop to 1298.9 in case there's a new spike down. Expecting it to go higher but who knows.
NAV 20561 AUD/CAD short tanking (fine, normal very random behavior out of the trend I'm trying to ride) other positions decent. Needs to turn next week though or it will start getting hot.
