I have a strategy. Does not apply in this case, which is why I use "feel". Waiting for a confirmation to think about getting my longs in. Market doesnt go by what I feel, is what I am aware of pretty clearly.
Good to clear that up .. the combination of: 1) fear of loss ( loss of capital that you "care" about ) and 2) uncertainty ( the strategy needs to produce strong enough & consistent enough statistical outcomes in order to instill enough confidence to override uncertainty ( or overconfidence / greed )) / second guessing the signaling ) can be performance killers . . .
Yep after a 13% skyrocketing jump in 5 weeks on the S$P now is the time to jump back in....when the S$P was under 1900 no one cared to even consider going long...now after the 13% jump it seems everyone wants back in once again....would be a funny situation to see everyone pile back into the S$P to only once again watch it drop below 1850.
if people are saying on a trading forum that now might be a good time to go long then we could be in for a pullback.
I am a new trader so I would not have anything to add from a trading perspective. I do however have some thoughts to share. I think there is a very strong probability that the EU will continue to burn bright and hot and the big money is probably already moving out. China's big money will continue its escape to safer places. The US and the strong Dollar is not great but it is the best game in town. The FED has their backs against the wall and will only continue with more of the same The DOW has more potential because of its international preference. Faith in governments is diminishing rapidly and this will drive money to equities. Watch EU and Brexit closely. I don't think it will happen because they will rig it if they have to. But the falls out after that could be a turning point. I am thinking the DOW will run up but won't last for long. All of the same bullshit bringing down the rest of the globe will eventually come to the US. Lastly I would not be surprised to see a record high in the DOW. Just some thoughts.
