When we add the variable that is highly subjective called volume to our analyses, we begin to see things for what they aren't. Paralysis begins to creep in. Volume is to be discarded as it is useless information. What is important however, is making trades while limiting losses and letting winners run. Learn to be wrong and be ok with it. Get rid of volume as a "tool" for determining future price action.

Prices can move a great distance on low volume. Prices can move a great distance on high volume. Prices can move a great distance on no volume. ---Prices can stay stable on low volume. Prices can stay stable on high volume. Prices can stay stable on no volume. Volume analysis is an extra subjective variable that is to be discarded with respect to analysis of price direction.
