[10:50] <brandon> the traps are sprung when you have one day that opens at the high and closes at the low
[10:50] <brandon> (or very close)
[10:50] <brandon> then sometime in the next day or two it goes above that high
[10:50] <brandon> this springs a trap
[10:51] <brandon> its a very powerful setup[10:51] <brandon> now we go intraday to look for our setup
[10:51] <brandon> we see that CAT gapped up nicely
[10:51] <brandon> and not only that
[10:51] <brandon> but it held its gap
[10:51] <brandon> that is the most important things
[10:51] <brandon> stocks that hold their gaps are the strongest in the market
[10:51] <brandon> nothing moves straight
[10:51] <brandon> so you look for the resting period
[10:51] <brandon> which you can see here in CAT as it based sideways
[10:51] <brandon> we then bought the breakout

[09:26] <Brandon> and when you see a setup
[09:26] <Brandon> you can trade it
[09:26] <Brandon> setups occur when there is a resting period
[09:26] <Brandon> that can occur with time or price
[09:26] <Brandon> time by going sideways
[09:26] <Brandon> making a base which is what we are normally trading
[09:26] <Brandon> price by making a retest pattern such as a flag

At the start of the day the Semiconductor sector was the days second strongest. This led me to continue to focus on longs even as the market was going down. I left @ around noon and came back into the close, trading PSFT.
