    Don't forget the Mckinley Tariffs.
Both times were disastrous for the world economy and the GOP.

According to the psychologist, motivational speakers & those who think out of the box, don't give up. Try again and again.

Keep raising tariff and see who blinks first.
Who ever blink first loses the game.

Instead of creating a great depression, it might create a great impression.

Oh, this is ripe for a ride down snark lane. :sneaky:

Bro, that Bitcoin "rally" you’re boasting about? More like a quick sugar high. You didn’t really think Bitcoin, being a crazy rollercoaster that it is, would just follow the steady, rational moves of traditional markets, did ya? Oh wait, maybe you did, considering that it’s currently trading at $75K. A tidy little 11% drop in just two days and, not coincidentally, those were over the weekend when the traditional markets were closed.

  6. China probably going to win if US make it a protracted war. Not saying China has a immediate solution, but the confident come from knowing Chinese people can live through any tough situation. They have no problem going back to planned economy, eat dust if they have to.

I don't think the US people can stand this hard situation. Stock market is down a little protests are already going on everywhere. While the Chinese people support their government even though they knew shit is going to get bad.

The majority of the leading trade nations will simply announce retaliatory tariffs as a response. Some countries such as Vietnam (proposing lowering its own tariffs for the U.S. to zero) will attempt to negotiate.

If a large bulk of leading nations across the earth simply announce mirror tariffs as their response then the U.S. will be the most adversely impacted nation -- as these other nations simply increase trade with one another leaving the U.S. to wallow in economic decline.

EU Commission proposes 25% counter-tariffs on some US imports, document shows

If this market slowdown continues there will be a mass exodus from ALL risk assets except maybe Gold. Bitcoin will drop a ton imo. How many people are there that will allow all their assets to be in one volatile thing in this scenario ?

  9. The vix was over 50 today, and BTC was around 80K.

Even with all the financial institutions claiming the US is going into recession this year, BTC is still ~80K.

All the bears were screaming how it would be near 0 at this point. So what happened?
