SMB Capital / Keystone Trading

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by rudy376, Feb 26, 2008.

  1. Interesting bits I got off a doostang posting for SMB Capital after my post on this forum:

    1)
"Important note: This is a non-salaried position. Your compensation is determined by your performance. Thank you for reading our post."
-Glad that they finally stopped posting "salaried positions", I wonder how this might push their applicant volume down.

    2)
"SMB provides you with an edge in today’s marketplace. We serve as your Mentors. ...Most importantly, at the end of our training program, you will generate your own trading ideas, and trade your own live account."
-Any ideas what trading your live account really means at prop shops?
-Any ex-smb traders care to comment?

  3. Keystone management is staffed with true gentlemen.

They had the integrity to escape HLV / Oliver Velez / VCM Trading without the temptation of greed. After numerous attempts of VELEZ to recruit Pete Renzulli and Erik Solomon, he was unsuccessful.

These guys separate themselves from the gray. Reference, http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1825314#post1825314

  5. FYI the spelling is Vaccaro.

Pete Renzulli and Erik Solomon left HLV because of Charlie Vaccaro's disregard to regulation and secutiy laws.

The news about TUCO sounds like the beginning of the end for firms like this.

  9. The bottom line is you have to make money...all you little babys that cry about getting swindled and not getting training is pathetic...Trading and putting your own skin in the game is about the real world not being some towel boy buyside trader hoping you get a bonus. Theres tons and tons of books, websites, articles adnauseum on how to be succesful..Live it,breathe it,sleep it, hump it , do whatever it takes and you can become wealthy beyond your wildest dreams..In the mean time quit your crying and man up, your ruining opportunities for the other serious traders....oowwww are you a wolf or a sheep.
