I guesstimate that the SHTF scenario is only about 5% likely in my lifetime, which is a very short prospect. So that's about the percentage of resources I devote to it (the scenario and the gold/silver). Along the tortuous path to SHTF, though, it may have its uses. Once in SHTF, I agree with you. Lead will be king. It is coming out of SHTF that gold will be king. Because whatever society emerges will need something non-fiat as a currency.
