Just an FYI as a I know English isn't your first language (only because you said where you're from, it's actually excellent and I wouldn't know otherwise) the term "exotic" when applied to options is generally defined as that isn't an American or European expiration option, i.e binary, asian, barrier..... even though you're using the word "exotic" correctly in general. I'll also ask with the best of intentions, have you had your ADHD actually diagnosed and treated by a professional? The reason I ask is because your posts display flashes of intelligence but are all over the place, as are your endeavors (I remember you were getting funding to start a company a year or so ago). I've seen this in more than one brilliant person with untreated ADHD. If you could focus and direct that intelligence and energy, I'm guessing you could achieve significant things (not that a PhD isn't significant). I'm sure you're well aware of all that, just wanted to reinforce it from observations of someone outside looking in who is rooting for you.
Actually the reason for "incoherent posts" it's not ADHD but alcohol, I rarely post when not inebriated, don't find enough motivation otherwise. I know proper term "exotic options" means what you said and I'm not interested in those at the moment. Volatility as underlying though seems pretty "exotic" to me.
In a few weeks I should have some test results. I'm not killing myself (to implement the stuff faster) since I also have a job and by experience, most attempts at trading strategies fail anyways.
Aq doesn't fit the definition of a troll bc he actually believes this bullshit. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/otc-options.305003/ Do you know if / where I can trade OTC options? For instance buying or selling butterfly strategies as one "product", with bid and ask prices and volumes, like on a regular exchange. Secondly, I'd need API/automated access to such an OTC exchange. Just like I'm using the API of Interactive Brokers now. And thirdly, I need two particular products, which may not exist yet. What would it take to list a new product, in case it doesn't exist yet? I suppose it takes a broker who's willing to do that, but what does such broker need to do? Does it need legal approval, compliance checks, whatever? We've been quoting COB positions for going on 20Y. Just stop with these inane threads. Some ppl simply don't have the ability.
