C'mon guys, no need to politicize what is a discussion about various legal products. Best to start a thread in the P&R forum if you want to get into the efficacy of handgun laws, morality, NRA, etc. etc. and leave this one alone in Chit Chat where it belongs. Thanks.

  6. I have had an AMT 380 Backup for many years. A fine reliable gun. Cuts two surgically precise slices through your thumb and forefinger webbing if you want it to, haha!

  7. A .38 or 380 is a terrible choice for primary or BUG.

There is no need for a caliber that small when you can have smaller handguns in larger calibers now.

  8. Agreed. My primary is a seven shot 357 wheelgun. My rule is never be more than 20 feet from a gun. The AMT is the one I keep in the drawer of my trading computer desk. The nightstand has a pre-limit 17 round 9mm S&W. And I keep a snubby 357 in the car. The wife has two 357's, her favorite that I can't get her to part with is an old blued service revolver her dad gave her. But I make her keep the stainless Ruger 101 in her night stand. All those and others I haven't mentioned are just to temporize until I get the really BIG stuff out of the closet. But by then backup would have arrived from my gun nut neighbors, who scare the shit out of ME.

  9. I forgot to recommend the NAA 5-shot 22 mag mini-revolver. Tumbles so bad a few feet down range that it's guaranteed to transfer all its momentum on impact, haha!

  10. Obviously, you are vastly underarmed old chum.
