SMA bounce

What, pray tell, is special about a 9 bar SMA?
Is 9 like some sort of magic number?

 

2 excellent examples showing on the Nasdaq daily. The one 6 days ago ended in a major drop...

I like moving averages & find them quite useful;
but number nine ma may continue to work well simply because its so uncommon.
