@zdreg, which startups need to be in the center of San Francisco? By the way, Google paid one single engineer over 110 million USD so please let's drop that argument as if only someone working in the city center is highly paid and "professional".
well you make zero points yet seem to want to constantly disagree with me and everyone else. And you made precisely that presumption when you stated that "[the SF city center] a central spot is where highly paid professionals can congregate with their own kind ". You completely changed the topic. The topic is and was that housing near the SF city center has become near unaffordable even for quite affluent people and those in the tech sector why earn quite a decent wage. The logical question then would be why employers locate in the city center. Your weird follow up completely does not correlate with that question. Engineers and managers at the 3 companies I mentioned most likely earn a combined compensation that exceeds the one of all tech workers or startup employees inside the SF city center together. But thanks for derailing the discussion.
your constant need for personalizing attacks and a constant need for positive affirmation and praise will lead to your self destruction. praise from whores will not do the job. admit that you are former alias was volpunter and lift a heavy burden off your shoulder.

I do not need any affirmation nor praise, in fact I prefer critical voices and like to be questioned. But not by those with dumb arguments and those who can't stick to a topic but deflect. You are definitely the prime example of such group on this site.
I believe New Zealand really only appeals to a very specific type of character. Outdoor loving, very family oriented, tired of global issues. It won't be a comfortable place for jet setters, those that look for excitement beyond sports, and it's definitely not the best place on earth to find a spouse (better to bring one if considering to settle there) ;-) (I have been travelling both the North and South Island quite extensively and have friends living in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, and Queenstown)
contrary to your post you are a needy person who needs a constant flow of praise plus a further need to denigrate others. you will get either professional help or will you stop personalizing. you are slow to learn but you will learn, alias volpunter.
