    Windows XP SUX!

Windows was on the right track with 3.1 but it had a few bugs, instead of fixing them, they buried the bugs in more features with windows 95. win95 came with it's own sets of bugs but it worked and i managed to work around everything. Windows 98/ME introduced alot of fixes for me and i was really happy. Windows XP is pure hell. They have a nice feature where MS gets to search my computer to make sure all of the software is "properly licensed" and if they decide it's not, they just restart my computer. No explanation as to why, or what I can do to fix it. So, my laptop randomly restarts every 20 minutes.

You'd think with the billions of bills Mr Gates has, he might just fix the bugs in the software, and let users be.

edit: the only nice thing is that I made $$$ while my computer was down, and so I can go out and get a Mac, or a UNIX machine, or maybe a bloomberg. But, I didn't really need my computer to crash for that to happen.

  2. My only complaint is that it is slower than windows 2000. 98, 98SE, and ME ( especially ) freeze a little to often for use as a trading platform in my opinion. As for Mac, well I like Mac OS X but there just isn't enough native OS X software out there yet.

The daily bar on NDX should be an inside bar, that doesn't give any room for taking out the highs, so I'm going to short every rally.

edit: it also looks like an h&s on the 15 minute chart.

While sitting here eating some Old Fashioned Quaker Oats, I just decided that is what I would become (no not a trader of oats): I'm going to look into using the telephone more since it is alot more reliable than computer. Will just draw my charts by hand. Sounds old fashioned, but it isn't buggy.

  6. Other than Commisso doesn't this bring on some huge warning signals to other traders.

Only thing you are clear on is the gap will be closed? How can you be sure?

Only thing I can really control in trading is my risk

    Short @ 1121

    statistics and luck dude.

I don't stroll with the "random walk" crowd, or even the "organized chaos" that others are into.

I follow the truly purist route of complete orderliness and predictive nature of the markets.

You don't like it, thats ok with me.

You are only stating the obvious and i've already addressed this possibility and exactly how i handle it riskwise, and tradewise. And i've ruled it out as a reason to stop me from taking these profitable trades.

Fact is, I plan for it even tho its never happened to me. If I can use 10k to take out 10k every month, if one day months from now I lose that 10k, it won't really matter since I've made many times that.

Do you think all overnight gap trading is not worth pursuing? or just my specific strategy?

And just to clear something up, which I think i made clear before, but anyway, It's not that I would never stop out if it gapped against me. It's just that simply gapping against me wouldn't stop me out. If it gapped against me, and then went down, i would get out at whatever loss. But it never does.

oops i said the n word.

loooks like I was wrong about the inside day on the NDX, it's possible now that it turns into an outside day... however, I'll stay short and shorted a bit more @ 1125, with a stop @ 1127. Average price is 1123. All of this is with decreased exposure compared to my gap play.

The reason I continually decrease my exposure throughout the day is so that I can continue to trade, but make sure i don't give back a big chunk of profits on a loss.

edit: i stopped out :( for a 4 point loss. i'm gonna reevaluate somethings and call my psychic to find out wtf happend with that.
