  1. yes, thank larry ellison. He is stark raving mad, I can't believe that people hang on every word he says.

By the way, buying XAU at the bottom of the range and holding overnight has been working like a charm. Lundy, you might be able to work that into your nasdaq trading, the inverse correlation is pretty good.

dotslash, thanks for the info on XAU, it seems to work well with my gap system in my limited testing.

janko, i got smoked. Lost 27 % on that trade...

thats the problem with teeing off the NDX, never know about that last 15 minutes on the NQ.

Looks like we are set to open lower just as i had planned, but these kinds of things happen, and i accept it as part of the game. I regularly make between 10 and 30% on gaps every day, so a loss like this every once in a while is acceptable. (btw, i don't compound my gains, i bank them).

This is the third NQ spike i've weathered.

I think I need to somehow sync the NDX to the NQ better at the close to avoid these.

Anyhow, I still expect a lower open but the trade presented too much risk.

  4. How do you get that kind of % Lundy trading the futs? How leveraged are your trades?

If the NQ is trading at 1150, for example, how much does one contract cost?

IMO eventhough the scale might be different, the overnight es mirrors price behaviour of the dax/estx50 (more so than the nq). Eg, you might notice that when support/resistance on the dax/estx is tested, the es will also react according, or a little upward trend on the overnight es could mean a major intraday upward price movement on the DAX, till it hits resistance (most often RSI).

expect new lows, i'll be buying.

Last year, just after sept 11th, the NDX bottomed. It proceeded to rally nearly 700 points. Thats 700% if you traded NQ or options.

I've got 3 seperate indicators giving me the buy signal this week, AFTER WE TAKE OUT LOWS.

It's the first buy signal I've had since last September. This is going to be so easy, will be like taking candy from a baby.

not that i would do that :D

edit: the exact day for the bottom should be today or tomorrow (with tomorrow being the next day the market is open) imvhfo.
