Sleep Can Often Be Elusive

  1. Mine was 5.1 at the last testing, and 4.6 at the one before. I have no plans on dropping fruit from my diet, but I might be a bit more circumspect going forward.

I cheat tho... I begged my MD for Metformin and she acquiesced. I eat what I want and then row or paddle until I fall in.

Diet wise these are my favs:

Tofu browned in OO. I am apparently immune to gynecomastia. Chicken (anything) is good. Black beans. Legumes. I don't eat any white flour other than the occasional Orowheat keto bun (50 cals). I do a spicy tofu and I could eat it 3X a day.

I no longer eat pork. We had a farm when I was growing up and it was located near the Quad Cities (managed by others) and pigs are incandescently-smart and intuitive. Basically empaths. I just can't do it. Same with beef.

I hear horror stories about metformin but I am approaching my best lifts (static, not olys) ever in my mid 50s.

  4. On the plus side, glycine apparently helps regulate blood sugar. But you may have to up the dosage to the sleeping point. :D

I am inherently high strung... ;) I take a gram at waking as well on trading days.

  6. What about whole grains, seeds, nuts, and dairy?

Only nuts. Peanuts and occasionally cashews.

  8. Explosive diarrhea would be a real conversation starter at the gym. Or pretty much anywhere, really. :D

  9. That's rather restrictive. I assume you eat leafy greens and other vegetables, along with eggs, none of which would set off any alarms on your CGM.

Sounds like a super power but no issues there.
