SKF halted

    So I can short XLF, but I can't go long SKF! The three stooges in charge?

    Theres alot of wierd shit going on today. The xlf and uyg were out of line for a while premarket and at the open. Take a look at the dailys of both. Way off.

    Simplest solution is make the BD responsible for the short shares. If they have an aggregate of say, 1,000,000 long on MS (assuming all are available to borrow), then they could allow a total of 1,000,000 short for all accounts. How hard would that be to set up? This whole naked short bs is a smoke screen.

    For a halted stock this volume is way to low. No one is selling? Or is it something else.

    Yup I shorted it today, and it's not on the list.

    Of course this means you can synthetically short any constituent of a financial ETF by going long all the components except the one you want to short. Lol.

    Oh yeah - you can go long puts and short calls on the stocks on the prohibited short list. Double lol.
