Oh, you *can* be "naughty" all you want here, that's why you choose to do so. Last I checked we were here to discuss trading though...
I completely agree. It's also nothing short of astonishing, in my opinion, that the moderators have left such offensive stuff on the board.
Agree with the first line-- but the second line-- you won't get a job drawing trend lines and applying indicators with any behavior.
Correct, I was more poking fun at the type of trader who comes on here asking for pictures and believes their stay-at-home skills are worthy of a "gold-digger's" interest.
She more or less caused it herself I think: SINGLE? why should he be single? MALE? why should he be male? NOT NECESSARILY FOR DATING? why mention this? Would she do this too when applying for a job in some hedgefund or bank? She would risk to be interpreted as looking for a vaginal promotion. HER PICTURE. Not the best choice to put that picture. What is the relevance of that picture? Or maybe the picture was put there for a reason? There were in past many posters that were treated in an unacceptable way on ET, but then nobody every made the remark you make now. Or should we be polite for women but not for men? She would have the same problem if her boss should be male, single and not necessarily needs to date her.
It will probably be staying that way, too, if they tolerate threads like this. Clearly they don't mind losing a significant proportion of the site's potential traffic and participation. (Odd attitude, though, even if only in commercial terms, for people running a traffic-dependent business? I'm "just saying", too.)
I agree - if she is as presented. As I stated previously, many, if not most of the traders on energy floors that I have heard about are grade-A a-holes. The kind of guys you heard on the Enron recordings joking about bankrupting CA grandmothers. So, good behavior and good trading are not correlated.
She would have the same problem if her boss should be male, single and not necessarily needs to date her.[/QUOTE] You make a very reasonable point. Probably a combination of the female OP and the volume and severity of inappropriate replies indeed caused me to say something when I would normally remain on the sidelines (where I probably should be right now). That being said, it's not that I owe the responders on the thread an apology for unduly targeting them, I owe a lot of these guys the same castigation just on other threads. That, unfortunately, is a fools errand though.
