Sweden and Canada: social spending boomed from 1970 -1990, destroyed their economies. Then along came conservative reform and viola- things are better. How anybody who recieves oxygen to their brain can believe that socialism is the path to prosperity is a real mystery. The only explaination is that it is religion.
Yes, they achieved a new, workable balance between capitalism/socialism. Still much heavier on the latter than us. Which demonstrates that there is no objective "perfect" mix. Societies decide what they like, but no society decides on just one or the other. That includes Singapore.
bullshit, we were talking about government led socialism private unions are another matter, and unions do not cause prosperity, they result from it, and they pertain to people who are actually working slimy lefty goal post shifting
It's not a "post shift", it is an important variable that is part of the equation. When you have a good job you don't need much in the way of government assistance.
no it's not been any part of the discussion so far, you just got desperate because the data shows you are full of crap. private sector unions have nothing to do with gov't socialism, in fact it hurts your argument for 2 reasons. 1. the union movement started long before 1946 and 2. the great society was seen as needed by liberals even after 20 years of a great post war economy ....and lastly private sector unions do not produce economic booms, that is a huge helping of special pleading there Ricky boy. It must really suck to want so bad for your religion to be validated by reality, you seem to try hard. I have a suggestion, don't bother with that inconvienience. The other liberals don't care so why should you.
