I can think of some great places to mover overseas were your dollar significantly increases your purchasing power. Singapore is the opposite, you will need to be fairly wealthy to duplicate your standard of living.
One thing I like about Singapore is it's safety, low crime rate. However, the people are less friendly as compared to other Asian countries.
Some of the so called advanced countries could learn a lot from Singapore on how to run a country. No gangsters, feral underworld types, beggars etc.
May I ask you some favor? If you have a chance, can you find the brokerage and tax system of cheap SG brokers (like IB) since this is trading forum. For example, some Asia country charge $30 for tax and $3 for brokerage on each $10K BUY/SELL. Thanks in advance. -Jay
