Singapore is a small place, about 26 miles from East to West and 14 miles from North to South. They are trying to squeeze as much entertainment into the small island, like the Marina Bay Sands (developed by Las Vegas Sands) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Marina_Bay_Sands and Resorts World Sentosa (developed by Genting International) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resorts_World_Sentosa LOL, I'm sounding like a travel agent too .....
I'm from Singapore and I have no idea what rubbish you are talking about. Bribes to foreign officials are completely legal and tax deductible like the Netherlands?? Are you going to keep replying me with more rubbish??
The others said it right. You didn't know your facts when you said previously that Singapore's economy is mostly financial services catering to shady sources of money: Glad you now checked the CIA Factbook.
You are again misenterpreting what I say. I said in Singapore banks or authorities don't scrutinise where "foreign investments" comes from. Netherlands was just a broad analogy. If you have verifiable figures to show that Singaporean economy florishes because of exceptional productivity and not purely thanks to foreign investments (that come via unscrupulous finansial sector), please post these figures. Otherwise, accept that it's your interpretation of othervise ambiguous statistics versus my interpretation.
