Since nobody else will ask, I will... Does Islam have a problem?

"Superior" by whose standards? The very word "argument" is usually the prelude for physical fight. No religion ever spread among continents with mere words.

  2. Why different ways of baptism by different Christian beliefs/denominations? Here is one possibility.

[IMG]This is one of the earliest known images of the plague. Drawn in 1349, during the time of the Black Death, it shows people carrying coffins of those who died of the illness in Tournai, a city in what is now Belgium.

Sprinkling of water would be much safer to avoid risk for baptism of seriously sick/near-death person.

This image in a 14th-century encyclopedia called the Omne Bonum shows a priest giving instructions to people with leprosy. The British Library mislabeled the image as depicting people with the plague.

Did you know the Virgin Mary is also an Islamic Saint ?
The only woman mentioned in the Koran.

  4. Yeh, sorta. I think technically she is revered or venerated as opposed to being a saint because the muslims don't have saints and - her alleged son Jesus is a prophet in Islam. Mary is not a prophet.

It's complicated. If someone wants to get persnickety they could argue that the Sufi's are muslims and they have saints. It's fine with me, except not all sufi's are islamic and the other muslim sects treat them as heretics. They are to Islam as Unitarians are to Christianity.

I would like to say that it is minor point and not something that someone would get all worked up about and strap a suicide vest on and go out do something foolish but- unfortunately- it is. I would not want to be the one that tells a Wahabi muslim that Mary is a Saint.

Tricky world out there. Some people need to chill out.

"Breaking" from Renaix, Belgium: Children 3 to 6 showing some signs...and threatening classmates of behead. One saying she's already married to a future husband in Morroco.
Looks like main course still ahead folks.

Be

I was glad to see a group of about 30 Muslims demonstrating against violence at the site of the latest massacre and in support of the people killed.

Let's keep religion out of the Law Courts.
Its followers have already committed millions of murders and other crimes in the name of their God.
