Knowing China across the HK border is a lot to say about Volpunter, it's about the style (even watered down), some topics you chose to post in (didn't check all your history), and when you showed up on this board, ie shortly after the Conduit handle disappeared - that one definetely didn't apreciate beeing called out. Fine for me either way.
Thank you for your interest in me. If you have a strong desire to hook up with others here at ET who are based in HK/China then let me know, I know of at least 5 others. I would let them contact you at their own discretion out of my respect for their privacy.
Well, I think Volpunter left the site with that handle to leave behind his most provocative statements. Besides not helping to follow up with civilized discussions, those could become a problematic luggage for someone trying to make a living in finance. Itseems he used several other handles before Volpunter, not the most stable guy around. Conduit was the apparent follow up, talking Asian markets, programming and Professional/institutional forex trading, but without the utraagressive and antisemitic rants, he disappeared from ET within a couple of days after I mentionned the link to Volpunter. Zzzz1 showed up a few weeks later, with a similar profile and style, and participating in similar threads - along it seems a bunch of US political threads I haven't read. But he's a very sociable guy, knowing already at least 5 guys from ET around HK and China after only 2 and a half month on the forum. He might be another Far East based trader though, it's not like bartenders have taken over the whole finance crowd around here yet.
Truth be told if the guy's figured out that being anti-Semitic doesn't get you anywhere he's learned a life lesson and should probably be welcomed back.
Isn't that like saying that "if he has figured out that riling against the establishment that controls media, board rooms, Hollywood, Washington DC, and think tanks/lobbyists, does not get him anywhere then he should be welcomed back"? I think that myth has been busted big time just weeks ago and I admit I fell victim to the average media outlet to form some of my opinions. Certain groups in the background are trying very hard to swey public opinion, you can figure for yourself who such groups might be. Funny how some people spend so much time trying to figure out others. I could not help but check up on some posts by volputer and conduit and if I am supposed to be one and the same then I have to say I am impressed with my own seeming transformation. I don't think I have ever called anyone names on this site (maybe once with a big fat disclaimer, I think it was @achilles28). I respect others' opinions though I probably disagree with most content on this site. But it's entertaining and every now and then something interesting pops up.
Quite disappointed that an open and honest exchange can still not be had about who those special interest groups really are. As soon as someone suggests those are by majority Jewish interests (which they broadly are imho, at least among the groups named in previous post) one is brand marked as antisemite or Neonazi. And it seems that character assassination is passionately pursued on this board. Someone can come in, snipe someone else and accuse/attack them and then disappear to reload the rifle. But that's obviously what anonymous online chats are all about, providing anonymity to those who wish to make comments they otherwise would never voice, were such individuals known by everyone else.
