Day (20) ER Mini ----------------------- Today/-29.50 Cumulative total after com./ +$1829.75 Humph! Maybe I should go back to shoveling. After a full 4 weeks of trading days in this thread and I am worse off than when I began. JIM
-637.50, -110 com. This whole week was in the toilet for me. I've got nothing to shovel, so no excuses.
Just continue doing what you're doing. Record your trades on a daily basis, tallying up for the week in spreadsheet. Over the weekend review the trades on a chart, look at: a) the trade you made b) what the correct trade was for that time period was, and c) if they aren't the same, make adjustments to your method accordingly. *** For instance, today was a down to support, hold and rise into the close type of day, you just needed to structure your trades accordingly to make money. The ER delivered the best results of all (when the getting is good, it always does). JJ
+ $ 0.6 60 cents At one point I was -60 , but recovered the loss back to breakeven. as always 1 contract NQ with 3 point stop all comms included.
Thanks JJ I was just feeling down at the end of a frustrating week and started flailing about with trades. Looking back at the market with the set of eyes I am trying to develop in real time, my trading should have been simpler. I have also been rereading High Probability Trading by Marcel Link. I think it's a good book and want to go back through and see all the mistakes I've made now that I have more time around the market. The beginning is pretty depressing as he describes the years of working without succeeding and then you realize you read that book over a year ago and you still have weeks like this where you feel like every move you make is wrong. Hits close to home. It might be a good read for everyone hear if you haven't already checked it out. Well time for some weekend work see you monday. JIM
