not sure what you mean by IB, i take it to be intrabank. i was just saying that i could not find a forex brokerage that would allow me to get a "paper trading" account to test my automated hypotheses. the places that offer APIs for automated forex trading usually charge upfront or require a contract to use their API. it would be nice to be able to pay some nominal amount for a demo account + API access to test out your automated strategies prior to implementing them with real money. i don't expect this to be available anytime soon and would be very surprised if it is already. i'll be in a position to test my model soon enough .
