  1. Short around 14.05 as it's crossing the Zero Line and then at 14.40 when the MACD crosses below it's MA, I probably would have scraped out of that last one for a small loss because it didn't tumble within 10 minutes and looked like reversing after the 5 minute mark, if you held on just a little longer than the 10 minutes it paid off nicely, that would have left me frothing at the mouth

  2. Wouldn't you have gotten Short again, after the MACD bounced off the Signal line and the bar closed below the 9MA?

How long have you been using Kwikpop? Do you still find it usefull?

  3. Certainly a valid re entry. Couple of years with Kwikpop, I like it's expert advisor and a couple of it's tweaked MA's

I'm in Jack Broz's room (Hotcomm) at the moment, got into this short late because it was so messy but he has been calling for it to fall all morning and certainly the 10 min MACD has been below it's MA and Zero line all morning, but I needed some convincing after that chop on open... he runs his room from the floor of the CBOT and trades the YM and bonds

  4. I'm glad I let him nag me into this short now, most trading rooms are a joke but he is an ex pit trader and still knows them all and talks to them during the day and gets all the scuttlebutt, his partner Saul trades there up in the booth 100 - 200 lots, nice work if you can get it

you can check his site out here if you want

  5. Can you tell me how you arrived at 10 minutes as the optimal time to time out? I have thought about incorporating this into my exits for awhile.

  6. It really can depend on the day but good trades tend to work straight away so 10 mins works on average

  7. Hi trader28,

    Thanks for an interesting thread.

Your charts show arrows which i'm assuming are entry signals. Do you get that signal at the end of the prior bar or is your entry at the close of the bar with the arrow?

  8. The arrows are part of Kwikpop's expert advisor, I dont look at them, just decoration... standard MACD & 8 or 9 period SMA on price chart is all you need

    trader28,

    Excellent thread.

I'm still not clear on when you take the 2-min entries. If you enter as the 2-min MACD crosses the zero line does that mean you are not looking at the 10-min chart? I don't get when you reference the 10-min MACD and when you don't. Thanks.

  10. 10 minute chart really just gives you a clue as to how strong the move might be, doesn't stop me from taking a 2min Zero Line cross or an MA cross supported by Zero Line

For instance the 10 min was below Zero all morning then made an MA cross (but still below zero) so the moves up have not been gigantic but still tradeable, you could ignore the 10 min all together but usually it will tell you when the big moves are in play
