trader28 sounds good on paper, but i do wonder how u manage trades during choppy days. is that why u've chosen er2 as the most volatile of the e-minis? could u also comment on trade management on choppy days? cheers PotV p.s. i'm wondering if ur aussie? and do u stay up all night trading er2?
Like I said, constant chop will kill any system, thats why you pick a vehicle like the ER2, I dont manage chop, once it starts I step aside until it fires up again, which incidentally is almost always accompanied by a Zero Line cross
It would be around the 70 to 80% mark if I executed perfectly everytime... which is to say it is more like 60% in the real world
Hi trader28 Thanks for posting, do you think this method would be suitable for YM ? Also, if you get in a buy trade and 2 min MACD MA has crossed and above the zeroline, then a few minutes later crosses below the zeroline do you reverse the trade immediately or do you wait ? Thanks
Seems to like all the emini's If it crosses below the Zero Line it has pretty much gone pear shaped long before that, you'll get price popping below the Simple Moving Average and MACD crossing below it's MA before that happens and that should be your exit
Thanks for the quick reply, on the 10 min MACD, if it is above the zero line will you only go for buy trades on your 2 min chart and conversely only sell trades if the 10 min MACD is below the zero line ?
Trader28 Can you tell me where you would have entered and exited this one? tia<img src="http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1191880">
The first one was pretty simple. This one is a bit more complex.Comments appreciated. <img src="http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1191895">
Around 11430 at 14.05 as it was about to cross the Zero Line Exit set price target or 10 minutes, whichever comes first
