  2. MA kiss method has been around for a very long time and is really good at least for me. Actually my staple method is MA kiss with candlestick and volume analysis.

But recent experiments with your method are quite successfull also. :)

  3. Must be a lot of traders using that particular time frame and period setting then, makes a nice filter

have you looked at the +DI and -DI on the ADX. When they cross it gets you in way early. looks promising.

    Thank you Trader28, great method.

I've used it slightly different, but your approach is less complicated and more reliable.

    Thanks again for sharing.

  6. No worries Obe, cant really call it my method, it's probably as old as the MACD itself... but we tend to move away from the simple to the complex as we learn more, but knowing more doesn't always mean earning more

I think the great advantage of having confidence in a simple method is that it leaves more time to work on our risk and trade management, which are the real determining factors of success, we spend so much time looking for the grail we never develop the skills that really matter in trading

    28,

A truer statement there never was. Searching and searching for the 100% win system is like chasing sunsets. The fear of losing wouldn't be so great if a person were as persistent with applying proper safeguards in their trading. There are many possible ways to win trading if you focus on you, and not only on winning signals.

  9. Pretty decent day, really.

Unfortunately I haven't been sharp enough to catch any of the moves. I'm still adjusting to the pace of 2 minute charts (after being used to significantly longer time frames), but i'm sure it'll come easier with practice.

Do you find it best simply to go away and play golf when you're not in tune with what's going on?

  10. No... a pilot needs X amount of hours in the air... we need screentime

You wont find a markets rhythm or a systems signature on the golf course

Realtime screentime seperates the back testers from the traders

You dont need to trade but you do need to sit there and go through the process of watching trades form, especially if it is a new timeframe for you
