Ok Ya'll, Here is a picture of my "new" chart, which is E-Signal. It's different, hopefully better... 1). SMA's 3 and 8, offset + 2. 2). The OBV is not a crossover like Omnitrader. 3). No "Guppy" System in E-Signal, But in "Omnitrader". 4). ***I think everything else is the same*** Please see enclosed chart! I am not sure how to change or tweak the OBV in E-Signal. But it would be very nice if we could. The OBV crossover, I found it be very accurate and tracks the market very close. Any programmers out there... Thanks snarlyjack
So... what we again in one program we lose in another. In E-signal we again the ability to "offset" the SMA's. In Omnitrader we have the "guppy system and OBV crossover". So the real question is... Is the SMA's offset the "grail" that were looking for compared to what we lose. Questions, Questions...I guess I'll have to watch the market Monday with the SMA's offset to really know. *** Any and all opinions are welcome *** snarlyjack
Written like a good little 6th grader with a potty mouth. Go ask mommy for some monopoly money to play with. Obviously there are very few real traders around here.
What a moron. No focus, no discipline, no trading success, and you know this exactly how? Oh, thats right, youre looking in a mirror little kid LOL Im not offended by success, but clearly thats not you if you think these stupid little indicators you can find in any book are worth something. If you claim they are worth something, it would be easy to prove it statistically with a backtest. These well known indicators are easy to backtest, and ive already backtested them all with at least a million parameters. IM sorry you lack the talen to do this yourself, and instead pretend you can trade them using your huge 10K account LMFAO. You have posted all the evidence I need to determine you havent a clue about trading, like most people on this site. Ive only seen maybe 5 guys who's posts lead me to believe they actually trade for living, unlike you. MACD, stochs? Are you fricken kidding me? These are jokesters selling crap to little kids that dont know any better, like yourself. Stop posting here and go join www.posingasatrader.com kid.
$50 ommitrader on ebay, then you don't have to worry about losing your ommi indicator http://cgi.ebay.com/OMNITRADER-2003...oryZ3148QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
nkhoi, That was good... I like it... The crazy thing is... I think your right. If I knew then what I know know...things would be different!!! snarlyjack
Based on your rather effeminant reply, I would guess that you trade in a dress and high heels. Once again, since you obviously like to get slapped around. Trading short term momentum works quite well IF you have the skills to develop the concept, the discipline to execute and the focus necessary to see each opportunity. You've demonstrated none of those qualities. Once again, we don't need you here. Unless you have a substantive reply sweetheart, I suggest you find another thread. Steve
Trader28, Can we use the SMA 3 and 8 (+ 2 horizontal shift) as a crossover system lining up with the Macd? ****Just a few minor questions**** If I'm using the SMA 3 + 2 as my main/early indicator (with Macd). Do I really need the SMA 8 + 2 at all? (or used as a crossover?) What would happen if I just used the Macd system with the SMA 3 + 2 as my new system? I went back and reread the first part of the "simple profitable method" and it seemed like you were just using the Macd with the SMA 3 + 2 shift? I am just trying to use a SPM! Thanks snarlyjack
They only come out at night Wear the little paper McDonalds hat with pride Dragon... and get me some fries while you're at it
I got quite excited here awhile back when I tried to set up a totally automated system for scalping YM using the crossover and exiting and entering based purely on the 3sma+2 as in manual backtesting it works quite well but in real time it did not do so well. Im sure its because in real time the final position of the +2 is not set yet. It makes lots of small losses and gains but no large losses and occasionally you get a nice winner which makes the system profitable overall, in hindsight. The trick is to add enough discretion to do the same thing in real time.
