  3. Beeflover,

Thanks for the compliment! However, the SMA25 was trader28
idea. (SMA8 plus 2 shifts over ? ) from what I understand is approx. SMA25. (Every program is different). And my program does not have + or - shift's.

All I know is I've been watching SMA25 for months and prices do
dance on it. And for the most part when prices breach it up/down
they seem to move in that direction. It is pretty reliable.

The other EMA's (guppy moving averages) were in Omnitrader, my
program when I bought it. You can add the EMA's to your program, no big deal.

But the main part of the trading strategy is the Macd crossing
the zero line. The Macd also tells you where you are at in
the market! Are you above the zero line or below the zero line?
Is it turning up or down? Are you in trend or out of trend?

I really do not trade against the Macd!!! And if I do, I am very
careful and I watch. I've been burned by trading against the Macd in the past and once burned, twice shy. Know what I mean?

T28, thanks for the method, the tips, and for a damn sight more entertainment than most threads could be expected to provide.

  5. I'd like to propose something, seeing as how most of you are benefiting greatly from Trader28's generosity;

So far, I see most of you trying to follow along, trying out the basic method, and even if you are papertrading, most of you seem to be "into it", and judging by the posts, properly grateful.

Now along come the village idiots. We all know who they are. We read their shitty backbiting complaining posts and I would venture to say all of us think (in our hearts) that we can do without this crap.....right?

Now I have been here ("on" ET) awhile, and I have never seen a single time when all subscribers to a thread have put one or two of these friggin idiots on ignore (all at the same time). What do you think would happen if just this once, everyone on the thread did that??? So here is what I propose. Tomorrow, 10 minutes before the open, everyone of you put these two motorized dildoes (Version/Saxon) on "ignore".

If you think about it, It would be like locking them both in a tiny....little....room...with no one to talk to but each other....

  6. Steve46,

I think that is a great idea!!!

You know there are some of us trying to learn here and trying to
make trading our livelihood. And it does not help us when the
"village idiots" appear out of nowhere and disrupt the whole
    learning process.

    Thanks...

  7. By the way, if you put someone on "ignore" I believe that keeps the nasty PM's from showing up as well.

I've already "updated" my ignore list for tomorrow.

By the way ladies & gents. If you look at a chart of the ES using 60 min bars/candles, you may notice that price has tested 1415 several times in the last couple of days.

A great thread, with lots of information on trading using MAs and MACDs.

Don't ruin it with abusive comments.
