So I would suggest that you throw your computer in the river and get a new one and new software that shows channel lines to the right of the forming bar. ________________________________________________ This is just too funny!!!
post it as an attachment it may be necessary for me to take a 60 minute chart, then a 5 minute charts and do this for you. There are only three references that are currently written by me on this and posted in ET. the first two otal 420 pages and the third is just many pages in an existing thread. Get a ream of paper and an color ink cartridge. some one will post the three references for you. spyder just posted them for a guy, also.
It is funny. I say left and right and he says up and down I suggest line weights and he says blue and red. It is funny. The reality is that any person can get this stuff down. I know that you knew his computer wasn't going to work. So I had to find out unobtrusively whether he was going to go to work of not. He says no go and I am told to jury rig his computer. how does a nice oriental lady go get a new software and shorten her research of 4 1/2 hours a day to almost automatic? She decisides to. How did she do when she found NTRI on her sort? She trades it for 30% in three days and put it on her "previously traded" list. did she watch the previously traded list? Yes. Did she trade NTRI the next time the channel said to? Yes She held it for 3 days and made 30% more. did she see it the second time it hit the channel? Yes. She held it a third time for three days. She made 30%. Did she see it hit the channel the third time? Yes she held it for 3 days and made 30%. did she trade oter stocs every day for over a year now Yes. She make money every day. Is she compounding it? yes she compounds it all the time. Did she get a new computer? yes, right off. Did she get the right software that worked? Yes. This is funny and it may get funnier.
This is from a person who is waiting until someone proves something to him about something he needs proven for the reasons he thought up. Reason one: This sounds too good to be true. Reason two: This is unbelievable. Reason three: No one can do this. He is absolutely correct on all counts in the world he lives in. How can something too good to be true ever become anything else... It can't. It will never happen. How can something become believable? It can't. In this electronic age anything can be faked. Faked even though it is time stamped and posted within a couple of minutes. How could anyone ever be able to do this? No one can; nothing posted showing the trading points is for real. Way to go, he says, let's jury rig a software platform that doesn't work. funny. funny. funny.
JACK, Ok, so exactly what is the name and phone number of the software company that you suggest we use? Approximately, how much does the software cost? And what else does it do? I realize that you feel we should all have software that draws channel trendlines to the right of the price bars and be able to project prices or forecast prices. I am sure every trader in the world would love to accurately project/forecast prices into the future who wouldn't. I would love to...Who do I call... snarlyjack
Hey go for it. Personally, I would skip 1, 2, and 5. Thanks fr the chat time it was fun. You were thinking about some great considerations. The forecasting isn't necessary but leading indicator of price are killer helper-outers. Go for it.
Ok, talking about multiple channels, I assume many of us are watching our charts on multiple time frames. So maybe 3 channels could be pivot points horizontally and trendlines on a couple time frames diagonally. I suppose the "traverse" channels are what we're seeing on ou 2 min charts, then you back out to charts of a longer time frame for other channels. I've often felt that if I only made trades at say S &R points on 15 minute or 60 minute charts I could make some dough. Snarly- Omnitrader has a drawing tool you can use to draw trendlines. Maybe then for a second screen you can keep an eye on quote.com. or, can you go from a 2 min to a 10 minute chart quickly? For instance, yesterday's low was near the lower daily trendline for ER2. Today's low was right there too. That was a super buy yesterday and today. Not like I had it. OK, watch that lower trendline between the lows of the last couple days and the upper trendline across the highs (perfect triangle) and wait to trade a break or bounce at these areas using the Trader28 signal. Can someone backtest taking TDR28 signals at 15 min S@R?
I know it slipped between the cracks. I use Qcharts for this and other things. You can use it to make an average of 2.5% a day in stocks. It costs about 8 minutes trading of one contract of ES per month. I just treade in NOw where the bar is forming. The annotations to the right of the forming bar morve to the forming bar as time passes. Forecasting is like drawdowns and heat and being on the wrong side of the market; forecasting is not part of making money. The bit about predicting and probablility is also off the table. What is on the table is making money. I didn't get across to you what shells are. I hould have used parts of an onion before it is peeled or sliced. Onions grow up from the middle outward. Their oldest parts are bigger than the new parts. All the new parts stay inside the older parts. Onions are funny people. If you take an onion apart you get a lot of spheres that are hollow. Old ones are bigger and so they are "outside" of the newer ones. Channels are flat and in two dimensions and not three dimensional like onion parts. But there is a similarity. The smaller and faster channels fit inside of the medium and the medium fits inside of the slower channels. Since you haven't seen any as yet and can draw or post anything it will take a while for you to have the first channels of your own. if you could post a chart on a 5 minute basis and a scale of two points per annotation in price I will go to work and annotate it in about 10 or fifteen steps for you. Maybe after the first few steps you can annotate what is next. Or let me know if you are not going to throw your computer in the river. i should tell you something. The "every trader in the world" stuff is a little different than you think. A lot of traders do not want to choose to be experts. If you look around, they want to be rich and have a lot of money instead. they want to do it in a way that they invent to compete" nd beat other traders. There is no competiton in trading. It is just taking money out of the market all of the time. expert traders are very relaxed and they just sit there and keep taking money out of the markets. They, of course, see what is going to happen ahead of time and so they just take the money out. Think of the Wizard of OZ. He is behind a screen and he has a lot of plumbing and he keeps pressing valves and looking at gauges. Anyone who can't look at him doesn't know what he is doing. They can see the smoke and mirrors though. And they make him into a wizard. Trading has a head Wizard maker. Schwager is his name. Schwager does not pull the screen or curtain back and let anyone see the valves and gauges and the motors and the pumps. See you go and get another stack of gear and pile it into a list. five lists so far. You are an inventor and you use parts off the shelf of some software that cannot draw a line into the future. you have a heart, and mind and maybe courage (we don't know yet). I am asking yu to put on your shoes from the wicked witch of the east. they will protect you. I want you to go down the yellow brick road and be driving a top of the line custom build wonder. we gat to struggle here until I do enough charts for you and do enough trades for you until you get some courage to throw your computer in the river. you have to go over to the wicked witch of the west castle and get the broomstick (your software) and bring it to the first bridge on the yellow brick road and throw it in. Toto is wagging his tail already.......lets go oil up the tin man and restuff the scarecrow..... be a courageous lion... Be a wiz......
One chart. 5 minute chart. Three shells of channels. thin , medium and thick.... Project into the right 1/3 of the chart and have the forming bar 1/3 from the right side. use a 2 point annotated scale. this means the numbers showing are 2 points apart. Squeeze and expand the chart so that it goes from a higher scale and then just pops to a two point scale or vice versa. Always do it the same way this calibrates your mind through your eyeballs. Let's try for one pure untouched 5 min ES chart from today perhaps.
