Yeah, I would go do something but its really nasty outside. Volume has dryed up and it will probably flatline as everyone heads for the door. Didndt take them long to flush those stops over 1408. Those guys are vicious.
I took a point and a half on ER2 and was done by 10:30. Didn't want to risk having a position when the volume dried up.
Quote: Reading is not doing work. Watching the markets is not doing work nor is paper trading, largely. Paper trading is mostly learning repeated failure by spending time kidding yourself as a routine. It is like try this and see if it works over and over. All that stuff is going into the subconscious permanently and building a huge pile of detrius. Great post. Application in the markets is what locks in what you've read, the doing it part. I find papertrading is useful to get comfortable with a monitoring routine. That's about it as emotions don't play a factor until you actually have money on the line.
Jack baby! what the hay you smokin? I gotta get me somma that shit! So I'm gonna extend trendlines out in the future and watch them as pivot points? Sounds like Bollinger Bands. Is that part of what your saying? I was with ya for the first coupleahunderd words then I got lost. How does your post relate to the topic, simple profitable method ? I'm gonna drink beer an eat lottsa turkey and come back next week an buy support. Good trades
Wowzie, I couldn't understand that m ....LOL.....maybe when I can that means I have arrived as a trader ???
Ive read quite a few of Jacks posts and I think he is worth taking seriously. I also think he is an eccentric egomaniac but nobodys perfect.
Jack, Thankyou for your help and suggestions!!! So far I have... (1) Ok...so I went to Christopher Lott's Q and A and read up on macd and tweaked my macd to 5-7-13. (2) Played around with my screen to get the right 1/3 of the screen blank so we can see the future (or write our own future). (3) Turned on my volume indicator (On Balance Volume). I'll watch it and see how it plots with the market (ym). Jack,... Which specific market indicators would you suggest we use so we can front run the market with??? Anything else should we be doing??? Thanks for your help!!! snarlyjack
