Simple Profitable Method

  1. This is the tricky part of this method. Entering right at the cross would have been very risky in this situation, imo.

    True.

    I like using stops to enter trades, that way you are on board for strong moves.

    Futures (well liquid ones) allow tight stops of course.

    At the EMA or just above it.

    Is the EMA the center line on your chart? If so did you get stopped out?

    I assume you shorted at ~13:40 at ~6232 and the trade doesn't turn profitable until 14:06. Am I reading this right?

    I didn't trade it as it occured after 1200 but it was possible to enter early on the break of the 9 bar EMA @ maybe 6235 (As described in the original strategy).

    Of course, the best trade was the MACD cross higher up (but that's not what this thread is about...)

  8. I think the market could be pretty unpredictable today.
    I have a funny feeling that their are some pretty pissed off people. As in the elections didn't go their way!

    As for myself, I'm gonna be partying all day long. It's about time we started straightening this mess out.
