Hello Everyone, This is an article by John Murphy: http://www.stockcharts.com/education/TradingStrategies/MurphysLaws.html I'm sure people have already read this stuff, but I found it to be pretty interesting. I have a strategy that I'm automating that uses similar rules and it has been suggested to me that I consider adding ADX to the mix. http://bobby.kimble.googlepages.com/cyclesystem Thoughts? -Hoo_doo
I wonder what John Murphy's performance record is. I don't see one mention of risk, risk management, how to optimize the risk levels used. Buying a security is not enough. If the risk level is too small then profit is insignificant. If the risk level is too big then the losses can be big.
Bobby - I appreciated reading over your blog on developing your system. How's it been doing since you automated it? Sandy
Hi Sandy, Actually, I haven't been monitoring it lately. I had someone that was going to help me track the success of the system, but some things happened and this person decided to stay away from the market for a while. This person was also funding my tradestation account. OUCH! So, at the moment I'm just sitting on the software and waiting until my wife finishes school. I'm pretty sure the market will still be there when she's finished. -Hoo_doo
