Completely true : go with the wrong partner and see you life destroyed down the line. be unlucky and land the wrong partner, and one can kiss adios to one's wonderful destiny. be blessed and land the right person for oneself, and one has hit the jackpot of life. People spend more time researching a car, than what really matters.
Most marriages last 10 - 15 years. Thus, marriage and investing is a better analogy than trading. Yet, even if you use dating as analogy...its probably more like going to a bar, party or dance club and you're trying to meet someone to hook up with. I prefer the sports / trading analogy with different similarities involving risk depending upon the specific sport. P.S. Comments above probably has no weight because you have not used this forum in a few years. wrbtrader
very interesting Topic Actually I think everything in the real-life pretty much like trading because main roleplay of whole of this is humans so at the end we could see so much similarities
Dating doesn't depend so much on your efforts and skills. Of course you can learn how-to pick up and that's doesn't depend solely on your skills. But when trading, I know that I may learn how-to trade and traders know that their earnings is only about their efforts.
Working harder at trading doesn't give you better results. Working harder at dating (appearance, hobbies) does.
Larry Hite draws parallels between trading and dating in the rules. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XBBSQJN/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1576185242&sr=8-1
