  1. still rumors rattling around that a squeeze in the physical is underway (a la LME copper) on the LBMA....etf or not

I suppose silver could go into backwardation ...and if gold does....holy smokes.........

  2. God, I'm such a newb. I have no idea what you just said. Can you give me a dummy version? I apologize, I'm learning on this.

I mean, I understand the term backwardation...but are you suggesting a possible spike even more than this?

  3. would backwardation in metal basically mean that warehouses will begin to pay interest on deposits rather than charge carry?

  5. I think this is just a good place to buy. :) And I did. Right at 14.25. That means it'll drop like a stone, since I'm probably the best contrarian indicator I know.

prices all over the place !!!

also just made 7 cents in 3 minutes on a mini

    going short !

  7. Nice :)

Since there is no real reason out there for a sell off, I gotta assume this is a much needed mini-correction. But dips should be shallow.

However, we all know what they say about assume. You make an ass out of Ivan and Ivan.

  8. HI Ivan

how much of a dip is shallow for you
    ... 50 cents ? $1.00 ? $2.00 ?

how much is the spread at OANDA ( in silver )

and what is the minimum spec position size
in USD to trade silver there ?

  9. just saw this headline ...on the wires ...

-NYMEX to change margins for silver, copper futures contracts-
    -Washington (Platts)--18Apr2006-

-The New York Mercantile Exchange on Tuesday announced margin changes for
its silver and copper futures contracts, beginning at the close of business on Wednesday.-

-Margins for the silver futures contract will increase to $3,750 from $3,250 for clearing and non-clearing members
and to $5,063 from $4,388 for customers-

ok ... maybe this is a good enough reason for the silver market to pause its parabolic climb

  10. $14.94 was the 1980's spike high resistance so tech traders sold it via asia it appears.....

I'll check to see if TOCOM margin rates increased to account for the liquidation
