Sounds like my experience with my Porsche. Bought 2nd hand, less than 10k miles before warranty expiration. A couple months in, with less than 4k left on the warranty, I find an engine leak, take it to the dealer who keeps the car several days, but not long enough to get a loaner. I get the car back but 2 months later the engine has new problems. Take it back to the dealer where the car stays 3 weeks. I get a loaner for 2. Through this ordeal I pay nothing, all under warranty and insurance coverage; but in 6 months I drove the car maybe 3 months and decide to sell it back to the dealer that sold it to me. Swore never to buy a Porsche again.
No, Porsche are known to be great sports cars and expensive. You assume they are good quality. https://www.motorbiscuit.com/why-porsche-is-least-reliable-brand-new-study/ 2014 Macan S
interesting. My 1984 911 is not a pedigreed car but it’s bullet proof. More reliable than any other car I have.
on average; yup. IQS covers like 184 areas, porsche 911 was highest ranked vehicle (lowest pp100) for '21-'22 https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2022-us-vehicle-dependability-study
1984.... Nice! But they don't make them like they used to anymore. The greatest myth is that euro -and German cars in particular- are the best quality cars in the world. Every survey I've looked out have East Asian cars as most reliable, and for many years. And I say that as someone who has bought German cars for years.
