I think the powerwall is way overpriced compared to a chinese rack mounts (lifepower, Gyll, Jakyper) and think Tesla also has a good product in the model Y. Their animosity to right to repair is a loser and believe they could even make their "no dealership" model work if they embraced, trained, and empowered 3rd party shops and buyers to fix their products by making a parts network available.

he's not really trying to go to mars. He's using that crazy vision to justify blowing up rockets. No one is valuing space-X at 100 billion to go to mars.

Parts and repair (3rd party) never has worked. It's been like 5-6 years for a huge amount of Teslas to be on the road. I believe a large bottleneck is coming in that area. It will hurt Tesla big time...

I live in California. Was wondering what would happen when we have that big earthquake!! A lot of Teslas will need repairs...No electricity, repair shops or parts. A little scary...Tons of "error" signs!!

Which of these would you recommend for a cheap powerwall??

    Lifepower, Gyll, Jakyper

Oh, I'm not saying Elon should take us to mars. I like NASA just fine.

Appliances and electronics were always repaired by "certified" 3rd party shops. Mechanics are obviously hit or miss but plenty of reputable ones out there. Body work post accidents is often outsourced is it not? Why could an ASME certified mechanic not handle a tesla door handle or battery replacement?

I like the LifePower personally but haven't really shopped around.

“let’s go spacex. Let’s go nasa”
    (When the manned rocket launched)

I wonder what that negotiation was like.

It's funny...A few weeks ago, Tesla had very few auto repair centers on their website. No third parties listed for work. I think they solved the problem and are willing to have third parties do their work.

It looks like they have taken care of these issues...

one reason I cancelled my plaid was the service centers. I had two accidents with my previous Tesla: one took 3 months (fender bender), the other would have been like 6 months (undrivable).

Were you given a replacement vehicle during repairs?

The first time it was like 3 days once they got the parts.

the second time i put the car back to Tesla.

I had one other mechanical problem which was a circuit board went out. They did send me a loaner model
s while they worked on that. (About a week).
