Right. I could totally understand that position from the base. Trump is in an unenviable position. None of this is going to go his way.

Well now you’re advocating for a caste system. Two classes of citizens is not something most Americans would support.

  3. See, this is exactly why you can never compromise with these liberals. Nothing is ever solved with them. They pocket every concession and move on to the next demand.

This has gone beyond the compromise stage. They are threatening a government shutdown over DACA amnesty. They see it as win-win-win. Either they get their amnesty with the aid of their republican buddies, and in the process deal Trump a grievous wound, or they get to bellyache that his intransigence is the problem and to blame for the shutdown.

Voters are strongly opposed to the dems' strategy. If Trump holds firm, he can score a massive victory when they inevitably back down. He should be doubling down now to make it even more humiliating for them. Then he can hit them with the suppressed report on the FBI/DOJ, fire a bunch of traitors and appoint a couple of special counsel to shoot the wounded.

so your saying/admitting on behalf of the left this is not about being humane its about democrat votes. If you are, I give you credit for seeing the truth.

Well the American public is mostly opposed to Trump in all areas including this shut down.

Now if you believe in two classes of citizens, those with representation in government and those without them that’s what you believe in. I don’t. It’s against my principles.

    Wallet is correct...

the poll massively slanted to democrats by 9 over republicans... 33 to 24 with 43 percent independents or another party shows that

    31 percent blame democrats
    26 republicans
    21 trump

and wait until the public realizes the dems were the one who did not agree to the funding put on the table by the house.

If republicans senators cave on this they are crooked.
