  1. More brotherly love among the Arabs:

DOHA, Qatar (Reuters) - Bitter enmity between Iraq and Kuwait erupted in a vitriolic name-calling match on Wednesday at an Islamic summit meant to unite the voices of the world's one billion Muslims against war.

In a clash caught on live television before the Qatar state broadcaster shut down transmission, Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's top aide Izzat Ibrahim departed from his text to zero in on the Kuwaitis sitting across the conference chamber.

"Shut up you minion, you (U.S.) agent, you monkey. You are addressing Iraq," Ibrahim said. "You are insolent. You are a traitor to the Islamic nation," he spat out as Qatar's Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani tried to shut him up.

A Kuwaiti delegate responded that the insults were "the words of an infidel and a charlatan," as the two sides shouted and gesticulated angrily at each other.

Muslim leaders had hoped the emergency summit of the 56-member Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) would send a clear message opposing an attack on Iraq.

And they say the Atlantic alliance is in shambles! ROFL!

    :) :) :)

    Hmm...lets see:

The French? Cheese eating surrender monkeys

The Americans? Burger eating war monkeys

The Iraqis? Camel humping scream monkeys (?)

    Is that about right?
  3. Arab Conference Degenerates Into a Shouting Match

OHA, Qatar, March 5 — A conference of Muslim nations hastily called for what was described as a last attempt by the Islamic world to help avert a war against Iraq degenerated into a shouting match today.

The leaders failed to publicly reconsider a proposal calling on Saddam Hussein to go into exile, although the idea first broached several days ago by the United Arab Emirates was the buzz of the corridors.

At the end of the conference, the Emirates Information Minister, Sheik Abdullah Zayed al-Nahyan, who was informally pushing the exile idea today, said in an interview, "Unless the Iraqis come up with a miracle, we don't think we can avert war."

The underlying tensions erupted in the elegant Ritz Carlton hotel ballroom when the vice chairman of Iraq's Revolutionary Command Council, Izzat Ibrahim, told the Kuwaiti minister of state for foreign affairs, Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, to "shut up, you monkey."

The Iraqi followed up with an Arab epithet, "Curse be upon your mustache, you traitor."

    Your grave awaits you!
    Curse be upon your mustache!
    Shut up, you monkey!

Expanding our catalogue of epithets every day ... hilarious. (Too bad I don't know anyone w/ a mustache or I could use that second one!)
  4. This is so rude, calling each other monkeys....

  5. beware the death monkey, he is lurking around the middle east getting ready to pounce.
  6. It's good to be da king:

But after her boss got into a screaming match with the Saudi Crown Prince, she tried to defend his honor but an Egyptian secret service guard took the opportunity to do some patting down (note his right hand moving in for the cup!)
