You just read the title and thought, this is obviously preposterous but it makes me feel good and I'll post it.

Speaking about shut up, this is pretty good. In the end the guy is given a choice between grandmothers protesting a couple of blocks away fron JD's house and Trump, barging into teenage girls changing rooms to try and see them naked, he says morally, the grandmothers are worse.

Recovery of chicken population = cheaper eggs. Duh.

"The USDA has projected that egg prices will start to return to normal by April. According to its monthly World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report (PDF), the price will drop back down to $2.50 per dozen in the second quarter of 2025, and down to $2.10 in the third quarter. "

Chickens typically start laying eggs around 4-6 months of age (18-22 weeks).

Improvement in the supply now was instigated...

    Egg Prices Plummet
Figures released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture show that the average cost of one dozen eggs is now significantly cheaper than in recent days. The economic indicator website Trading Economics shows that a dozen eggs were $5.51 on Tuesday, more than $2 cheaper than "an all-time high of 8.17 in March of 2025."

    Thanks Joe! Operation Coop Speed.

But give it a while, some could also be DOJ scaring big producers. Kamala's price gouging plans might have stopped that this time.

  9. A tariff of that size that lasted any period of time would do some damage for sure. At the moment it's the back and forth creating uncertainty. Not many businesses can operate with those kind of price swings which result of the crazy on again, off again coming out of the Trump administration. I understand he wants to get shit done quickly, but too much, too fast while swinging a sledge hammer will bring the whole thing down, and he'll have to own the wreckage.
