In 1999 AMR earned 3.27. In 2000 AMR blew it out at 4.64 per share. Now that was when they had more cash much less debt and the stock market was going crazy ( well up till march). Anyway for 2007 the best estimate calls for AMR to earn 4.54 and guess what.. you know what the high price for the year was back in 2000 when they earned that 4.64 39 bucks...
