Absolutely! And what about broker dealers, that stood by and watched their clients lose money in the markets during the past few years... Sue them! Come to think of it, the same goes for horse racetracks, and casinos... Yeah, and what about lotteries?

Personally, I don't think us Americans should be responsible for any decisions we make. If we die or lose money, SOMEBODY should pay!!!! It can't be our fault, right? Let's sue somebody!

Tried to startup a new business and failed? Lost money with it? Sue somebody...

In all seriousness, when are Americans going to realize that one of the beauties of this society is the FREEDOM to make your own decisions... the RIGHT to make stupid decision, if you so choose...

Frivolous lawsuits are a great harm to the country and the economy... Who can defend the lady that sued McDonalds (and won) for selling her (hot) coffee in the drivethrough, which she promptly spilled and burned herself. Really sucks that people can't seem to take responsibility for their own decisions and actions, and always need someone else to blame and pay...

In the end, unfortunately, we all pay for these folks...

  3. Now we are on to something.

Put Don Bright in jail right now for hiring brokers who have no business trading.

Hey, we just migrated to another hot topic.....

Should people be able to sue for things
When they should have known better?
    NO WAY!

Hmmm....can we make stupidity illegal while we are at it?:D :D

    That is right Cathy.

However, what about the tobacco companies who some twenty years ago were aware that smoking causes lung cancer and all kind of other fatal illnesses ? All they choose to do was to put those reports in the bottom drawer.

Is that CRIMINAL OR NOT ?

Apart from having no conscious they should have been hung or at the very least imprisoned and being made to forced-smoke non stop until they pecked out.

Instead, what happened to those arseholes ? They went scottfree.

    WHY ?

    I find it morally reprehensible.
Same as selling drugs that you know are going to make someone sick or die. Illegal and legal ones.
The same people who put out cars that are unsafe.
The people who would kill other people.
    But do it for money.
    That is evil.

  8. I smoke, and I need these merchants to continue trading... so I voted no, cos most of em end up (inadvertently) selling to minors...
