Should VIX fall before a bottom forms?

    I get the impression of a rising VIX does not mark a bottom, or does it???

    The VIX is a slightly "lagging" indicator to the market. The market can make it's "final bottom" and the VIX should make it's "final top" closely afterwards. We'll see. :cool:
