    The Washington Post reports:

It was Christmastime in Washington, and Ben Carson couldn't stop talking about the apocalypse.

"Did you know," the secretary of housing and urban development asked his acting chief of staff, Deana Bass, at a Capitol Hill holiday party, "that if North Korea detonated a nuclear weapon into our exosphere, it could take out our entire electrical grid?"

    Bass shook her head.

"What's that movie where there’s complete lawlessness and anarchy for one night a year?" Carson said, calmly resting his right hand over his left. "The Purge! It will be like The Purge all the time." [The Washington Post]

I understand the situation far better then you do. I don't need you to agree with me on that but spare me the lecture you are barking up the wrong tree.

I'm Canadian all I've seen is Americans electing useless guys like Bush Jr. and Trump and take a long, long time to realize it's not working out. In Canada, we have our own value system and trying to garner massive personal wealth isn't our main priority. For many Americans, they are getting totally screwed by this American quest for massive riches. Canadians are enjoying real measurable improvements in our country in many areas the last 30 years.

I'm just going to say you like many Americans are totally lost in politics and one crisis after another and can't see there us a better way out there. Occasionally, I bring up concrete facts where there are massive holes in the American system and maybe a look at the Canadian system or elsewhere might be worth a look. But many American's still think they have the best of everything how dare you suggest we change at all. It is what it is; if things were great in the US a virus wouldn't have killed 130,000 Americans in 3 months.

One of our main concerns short term is keeping Americans out of our country. We just aren't seeing enough rational response to the virus and have to protect our situation best we can.

  5. Seriously, you consider Joe Biden as more qualified than Ben Carson to be President?

As far as appointing criminals to federal agencies, look at Bush and Obama. Decisions to not investigate, violate FISA, political bias, witnesses tampering, perjury traps, coercing attorneys to violate confidentiallity requirements, proceeding in spite of known conflicts of interests, to name a few top of mind. The FBI and Intelligence agency is littered with appointed, criminal minded leaders whose purpose is to protect their corrupt enterprise, regardless of political affilliation, that has taken over DC.

Again, my open question to all:

Comparing the life history of all the Presidents and Presidental candidates previously mentioned, who is the most qualified?

    Trump, Biden, or Carson?

If you take up this challenge, please support your statement in earnest.

  6. Premature death by a thousand cuts or death by a crazed former healthcare professional?

How about the idea that Carson, father of three, husband of one (Only) wife, is not itching to start a nuclear war to accelerate armegeddon?

A little integrity and competence in a US President is not the end of the world. Besides, wasn’t Carson involved in hospital administration? Spending might come easier than our pigs-at-the-trow participants may fear.

Of course. Just compare their experience. Biden has been in government most of his life. Understands the workings of the Executive and Legislative Branches from the inside out. Carson has spent his time bragging about separating Saimese twins and decorating his office. Both men are equally qualified to install a new septic tank however.

  9. Biden is a pristine example of everything wrong with people who make a career in government. While I cannot see Carson as president, Biden cannot hold a candle to him by any measure you choose to judge a man.

You know what the police say about judging if someone is a crazy murder? Not the type, is the type.

Carson would be better than Trump as Donny is basically the opposite of all qualities needed for the job nearly anyone would be, but quite honestly yes he could do the job but he is another want too much. I want a bit of greatness thrust upon.

Talk to people in HHS and see what they think of him, I have heard he is not well regarded. Maybe I could warm to him but I can't see it.
