Indeed the recent TD Ameritrade commercials indicate traders have some trepidation with regards to options. That's to be expected once you get into the "greeks"....delta, gamma, rho, theta, etc.
No, the new version is still 32bit so crashes on regular basis, I bought an 8th gen laptop and still didn't help, the code appears to run slower than on 9.5, plus they have removed functionality from Mobile, Ichimoku, which of course was the one I used for monitoring. Then you have the brokerage, margins went up last week without notice, so I decided to withdraw, sent in a paper request to return to original funding source, come on, day later they cannot perform it. Sent in another request after speaking with the rep, day later cannot process it and can never get through on the phone. Spoke to the rep, day later he comes back that as I funded in GBP, placed some YM trades, they converted it to USD and on the form I specifically had to state "Please convert USD to GBP before sending the funds". Send the third form in, day later they come back with we will process the fx conversion the next day, but have to wait another day to perform the transfer. Then of course it's a holiday weekend so won't be processed until Tuesday, and 3-5days for the transfer, meaning I will receive it about two weeks after the request and only then because I asked the "right" questions, all the time the hotel I'm living in jumping up and down, apparently having a paper trail and spending £40k with them a year or so ago doesn't count for much these days when other people mess up. Part of the problem is that RJO'Brien clear for Tradestation, too many hands in the pie, I never liked holding large amounts of capital with brokerages, always good to be right.
I am 100% direction orientated, so although I understand some of the Greeks, some confuse me, but as long software knows what is too expensive and have to wait to buy them, all is good.
For reference relating to Tradestation, please see the following link, my suggestion to you is just don't. If you need a broker use high leverage low capital, but scale your trade to your actual capital, don't over-leverage it. AMP sounds great....but once again the problem of platforms arises. I have all of this code in Easy Language so I can do Tradestation or Multicharts....neither of which AMP supports. Ugghh...now I have to rewrite all of the code for another platform they support. Brutal. The next billionaire will be the guy who develops a cross-platform code conversion utility program.
This is all so untrue. You have no platform problem. AMP Futures fully supports Multicharts with EasyLanguage. You don't have to rewrite code. And the next billionaire will not be a guy who develops a cross-platform code-conversion utility program. 5k posts? Consider focusing on quality and accuracy rather than quantity.
Sorry Rosy....but I did not see the support for Multicharts. Ah....now I see it....version 9.1 support...that was from YEARS ago. Hmmm.. MC is now up to version 11. So you know what Rosy ? I'll focus on quality and accuracy....that's what I do. You can just focus on insults and quick retorts.
