Should Everyone Be Allowed To Vote?

  1. I'm under the impression that there is a general correlation between IQ and academic achievement level. Of course, there are always exceptions.

  2. They are different, but not separate. They are correlated.

And also quite irrelevant for voting. Law abiding American adult citizens should have the right to vote, regardless of education, intelligence, ethnicity, religion, age, race, gender, or other such factors.

  3. Spoken like a true troll. Insult the person (now twice).

I'd suggest an alternative: try providing evidence for your own assertions.

  4. According to the non-partisan FiveThirtyEight,

    "Average Years of Educational Attainment
    Adults >=25
    1. Colorado 13.46
    2. Massachusetts 13.39
    3. Maryland 13.37
    4. New Hampshire 13.36
    5. Vermont 13.33
    6. Connecticut 13.31
    7. Washington 13.28
    8. Minnesota 13.25
    9. Alaska 13.18
    10. Montana 13.14

    50. West Virginia 12.16
    49. Kentucky 12.21
    48. Mississippi 12.24
    47. Arkansas 12.25
    46. Louisiana 12.32
    45. Texas 12.38
    44. Alabama 12.42
    43. Tennessee 12.43
    42. South Carolina 12.52
    41. Nevada 12.60"

Obama is leading everywhere in the top 10 except in Alaska (Montana is a toss-up acc to recent polls).

McCain is leading everywhere in the bottom 10 except in Nevada.

Now, football. It's Saturday, for pete's sake.

  6. Smilingsync refuses to understand that only around 18-20% of Americans have a college degree.

Let me try to explain this without using any of that offending humor that you so despise. Only 20% of Americans have college degrees. Lets say 20% is 60 million. People who have college degrees prefer Obama around 47% and McCain around 42%. So they prefer Obama by about 5%. 5% of 60 million is 3 million.

    My points-

    1. 3 million more people in the category of college gradaute 's prefer Obama over McCain. Remember college graduates only make up 18% of the nation.

    2. Your assuming and generalizing that you can define the education of political affiliation only by looking at 18% of the population. Absurd.

Conclusion- You cannot judge the overall average of anything by only looking at 18% of the thing that your studying. If i was allowed to only look at 18% of a trend i was studying in the stock market i would have no ability to make an informed decision when it comes to executing a trade. The bottom line is that your study is uninformed.
