Should Confederate War Memorials/Statues Be Abolished?

  1. So a freind said that Gone With the Wind DVDs are almost sold out on Amazon and are going for a huge premium.

My theory: the company that owns the rights to Gone With the wind Anonymously lobbied HBO to take it off the air knowing it would lead to a huge rush on DVD sales and they would make a fortune.

    GENIUS!

  6. We should get rid of all the memorials and also the memory of any slaves being owned.

    And drop the reparations idea.

There was no civil war and there were no slaves. Never happened.

  9. The statues were mostly put up by the Daughters of the Confederacy to support Jim Crow laws and remind the Blacks of the good ol south before they lost the war. History is studied in school and in museums and there are memorials to American heroes and their stories.

Confederate soldiers were traitors and insurrectionists who fought to keep slavery in place, they dont belong in a place of honor. GW owned slaves and that history is always included but GW still served his country and fought for independence and was our first president. A confederate general who killed U.S. troops to keep them from freeing their slaves is not a hero.
