I dont think I defend across the board anyone by label, only by individual. I dont have prejudged notions of candidates, parties or people simply by a lib or con label. In fact all of them are fucktards doing a job they have no qualifications for. Both are extreme ideaologies with sheeple for followers as evidenced by blind support no matter the issue or fucktarded mistake. The 2016 election and the build up to the 2020 election prove that we cannot have intelligent elections anymore. I find all liberals and conservatives are blind slaves to an ideaology and whip out the knee pads for anyone who claims to be from their party and find it impossible to be objective in criticism. They are basically all hypocrites who claim Fox News is the no spin zone and CNN is biased while CNN claims to bring you unbiased news while Fox is propaganda. To summarize our whole discussion, you made an opinion that I felt was an exaggerated claim of a progression, the "anything is possible" claim is not justifiable when we can show the possibility is actually quite remote. You have a legitimate fear but I was not attacking you, but rather agreeing with your premise of what could happen but demonstrating that it is very likely not to happen due to various factors that will prevent it. Factors that are beyond the control of any one party or screaming minority.
That is sad to hear, but that is a conservative state who maybe chooses not to teach it because they are embarrassed by the history. Where is the outrage that conservatives are trying to erase history just like the claims liberals are trying to erase it by taking down statues. Just like schools that don't want to teach about the Vietnam War or tell the truth about Cuba's history. History is facts and they exist whether people want to learn them or not. But people can decide which facts to leave in and which to leave out and the whole story changes...I always learn more when I read history from various views of the actors involved.
Great post, and I appreciate you acknowledging I have a legitimate fear - and I'm not being sarcastic when I say that. I realize we won't agree on whether it is likely, that's OK. I will recognize you to be quite a deal more moderate than your liberal counterparts on this site - probably the most so - but I believe you are still liberal just judging by how I've seen you react to the topics posted. We could always have a fun exercise of you posting where you critique someone on the left vs. a post where I show you going after someone or something on the right. I think I'd find more posts by quite a bit of margin. That's usually indicative of left/right leaning. Not that this is a big deal. Every last one of us has bias.
I criticized Fauxcahontas, AOC, Bernie and many of the lefty stars, called out Hillary many times as well as Trump. On this site the conservatives tend to fight a little more with the exception of exGOP haha so it is more fun to engage. But you all too extreme both sides.
Trump calls Confederate commander Robert E. Lee a 'great general' as Joe Biden attacks his Charlottesville response President Donald Trump on Friday called Robert E. Lee a "great general" as he defended his comments about a deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The remarks came one day after former Vice President Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign by citing Trump's response to the events. "People were [in Charlottesville] protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee," Trump said. "Everybody knows that." President Donald Trump on Friday called Robert E. Lee a "great general" as he defended his comments about a deadly 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, one day after former Vice President Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign by citing Trump's response to the events. Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Friday, Trump was asked if he still believed that there were "very fine people on both sides" of the Aug. 11-12 rallies and counterprotests, during which civil rights activist Heather Heyer was killed by a Nazi sympathizer who drove his car into a crowd. The perpetrator, James Alex Fields Jr., was found guilty of first degree murder and several other crimes in December. "I was talking about people that went because they felt very strongly about the monument to Robert E. Lee, a great general," Trump told reporters Friday. "Whether you like it or not, he was one of the great generals. I have spoken to many generals here, right at the White House, and many people thought — of the generals, they think that he was maybe their favorite general," Trump said of the Confederate military leader. "People were [in Charlottesville] protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee," Trump continued. "Everybody knows that." The president's remarks Friday also appeared to bolster Biden's argument the day before. Biden, in making his 2020 pitch, described a deep divide between his view of Charlottesville as a clash between "those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it," and Trump's own view that there were "very fine people on both sides." Biden, in his announcement video, said Trump's response to the rally was evidence of a "battle" underway "for the soul of this nation." Trump's comments Friday all but ensured that the former vice president will continue to attack him over Charlottesville and link him to some of the most extreme elements of the far right – which could put Trump on the defensive in the 2020 race much earlier than he had anticipated.
Everyone is laughing at the US for our stupidity! Hell, the civil war is part of history. Liberal fools ignore that part and believe if you remove those statues, suddenly, everything is better? Can anyone imagine what would have happened if they tore down the Roman Colosseum because they had gladiators fight to their deaths at the site? That is was full of blood of innocent people, Christians fed to lions and other vicious animals? What about Arc de Triomphe put up by despotic dictator Napoleon Bonaparte? Should it be destroyed? The same liberal fools that voted for KKK klansman, Robert Bryd and call President Donald Trump a racist? Let that sink in. Before he became US President, Donald Trump received blacks who came to Trump tower asking for monies! The names Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson come to mind. Take note too that they gave Donald Trump numerous awards telling him is one swell guy! Now, that he ran as a Republican, became a US President, what changed? Suddenly, he is a racist? There is too much stupidity on the left with deranged liberals out to destroy the US as we know it! They are fine with the US becoming a third world Banana Republic because in their view, they will be the elitist rulers at the top, filthy rich and powerful! I got news for you ass clowns, you won't make it that far! When the communists purge those at the top aspiring for the same positions, whose head are they going to chop off first? Look at Kim Jong-Un, those selected to be killed are among his family! What about Saudi Arabia, they purged those at the top? You think the vicious Communists and radical Islamists will not purge you first?
Creepy & Sleepy Joe went out of his way to put the spotlight on the Virginia/Charlotteville situation in his announcement but I did not see the whole thing. I wonder if after that, he went on to talk about the Three Dem Stooges in the Virginia capital and capitol. You know, the blackfacers/rapists. I could guess though and pretty much come out right. Anything that does not involve Trump does not exist to a dem.
Using theses EXACT same standards the new Obama library should not be constructed. The man had the nerve to oppose gay marriage, and that wasn't nearly 200 f'n years ago either. Any and all statues, monuments, street names, pictures hanging on wall, etc., etc., all need to be removed of those who did not support gay marriage. Let the cleansing begin.
I saw his "candidacy" introduction video. It was nothing but clips of Trump saying stupid sh*t. Charlottesville, McCain, the disabled reporter... I thought to myself... is that all he's got? Thats what he's going to run on? How weak is that? Lets hear some ideas. Lets hear about healthcare, higher wages for working folk. No, you're going to try to look big and bad by making Charlottesville the focal point of announcement. That just goes to show.... he's got nothing. Name recognition maybe. That's it. I also saw clips of Joy Beyhar interviewing him on The View.. He looked like he was dead. Pale, tired. He doesn't stand a chance imo. He's going 0-3. Or is it 0-4? Who cares. Waste of his time and other's money. Oh and a note to Lawrence O'Donnel and Brian Williams of MSNBC fame: How can you say Robert E. Lee "killed more Americans than any other general ever" and make it a talking point for Christsake? Could the same not be said about Ulysses S. Grant then? Thats the dumbest statement I ever heard one of them say. 80% of our population has lost (or never had) the ability to think critically. How can people be so stupid?
