Why express an opinion on things that you obviously don't have any experience with?

Pressing the bid is often a very effective way to get filled on shorts even in rather steep downdrafts. And decimalization has enhanced its effectiveness considerably because people are much more willing to pay up 1 cent than a full 1/16. Of course, shorting into a retracement is the preferable way to go, but many times on a break of a base there is no retracement to speak of especially in the very small timeframes.

The means of execution provided by a broker should support their customers' trading styles and not the other way around.

  2. The latter situation is exactly where I would find this most valuable.
