I have been watching the airlines for quite some time now, particulary LCC. They have been going straight down.
Be sure to short THEM ALL. The industry is doomed, nobody can possibly turn a profit. Why bother to try predicting who will die first? They will all die in due course, hence: short them all. Thanks for your insightful post.
What will happen to the industry if most airlines go bankrupt? Im looking at AMR for another swingtrade down below $5.00. I just cant see all airline going bankrupt, people still have to fly.
Haven't you been the one that has harped on how the CONSUMER is tapped-out? You really need to take a Basic Econ class. Jet fuel that has risen to the tune of BILLIONS of DOLLARS for the Airline industry will result in decreased capacity across the board . . . which equals lower revenues per mile.
